Pretty sure only two or three people read my blog. So I might stop writing, any objections?

ECSTATIC

This fall I attended LDS - Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. It has 1,400 students, the the classes are extremely small, and the teachers are extremely personal with all of their students. Attending this small college as a transition was such a great experience for me. I enjoyed ever single one of my classes! Although my classes were not 'hard' they took a lot of time. Also since I was new to Utah I did not have a lot of friends. So I spent my nights studying and doing homework. Sometimes it felt like I didn't even have time to eat because I was spending so much time on school. Hours and hours of studying and praying that it would pay off...

Today I logged onto my school website to look up my grades.
My jaw dropped.
I gasp.
I did not see this coming...
It read:

Photography - A
Nutrition - A
Lifestyle Management - A
Book of Mormon - A
Sociology of Marriage & Family - A

*drum roll please*

=GPA 4.000

I have never felt so gratified in my life.
Who knew working so hard would pay off soo well.
This feels unbelievable, spectacular, remarkable.

Cooking

The Thanksgiving and Christmas break has given me a chance to pick up cooking again. With the rush of school over I have the time to plan some meals. Some lazy meals, some old favorites, and some new ones. Some of the favorites has been Moms Chili, Pecan Chicken, and Taco soup!

It has been fun cooking with Esthers extremely nice pans, which is making me more and more excited to finally open mine up when I move next month. Ever funner when Taylor does the dishes, he's such a gentlemen! Non the less I am enjoying school being off, and will enjoy the time to cook during the holidays :)

Last Weekend In Utah

My time has come to a close in Utah. It is amazing to think that I moved here four months ago, it feels like the time has wizzed by!!
Thursday night I was studying with my nutrition group, and ju
st after they all left to go home I heard the doorbell ring. Assuming one of them had forgetten
there book, or something. But instead I found this ---->
Sitting on the step with a note that had intructions for me to close me eyes and count to ten. Then magicly Tayl
or apeared!! I didn't think I was going to see him till late
that night, and maybe not even till
friday.

Then friday
night came around. I had the chance to sing in the assembly hall o
n temple square. I am in a choir at school, all though we are not that great it was still cool to sing on temple square again. Especially at christmas with every single tree lite up! It was soo pretty, I only had my little camera and it did not do it any justice. I would highly suggest taking a walking through temple square in december.

Then Saturd
ay came!! We started off the day with going to a Jon Schmidt concert. We had a chance to
meet and take pi
ctures with him. Then he started playing the piano. This was s
oo amazing, he played some songs from my favorite CD of his that I used to listen to before going to sleep ever night when I was little. Oh, did I mention this was held in a fruniture warehouse? Yeah it was!! So there was about 50 other people there, it was FREE and everyone got a couch or bed to sit on. It was by far the best idea anyone has ever had!

Then when this was over we made our way over to the Fe
stival of Tress.
A yearly function where they auction off decorated trees from $10
0-
$2,000 for the childrens
medical center. We got to walk arou
nd and look at all these pretty, funny, and crazy decorated trees. They also had decorated doors, and the most amazing ginger bread houses you have ever seen, castle's, trains you na
me it!!

Then we went back to the Henriksens. I had made homemade chili earlier that morning. So we sad down to a hot bowl and chili! It was the ultimate december weekend. It was a great way to kick off our christmas spirit. Taylor went home after dinner.

Sunday I was able to have my last sunday dinner with the henriksens, which is always a whoot. Especially when brad is there. We made these
danish donut/scone things called clangers. (I am sure that is spelt completly spelt wrong, but thats how it sounds.) It was sad to say goodbye to Becky and Roger. I had to hold back my tears. It was such a blessing living with these two amazing people in their home.

The school semester has come to an end, and so has my stay. So now I must pack up and move onto the next adventure of my life. I am all packed, my car is chuck full of stuff and I am crossing my fingers it all will fit into my apartment in January. My belongs have seemed to expanded since I moved here! Whoops!! My once over flowing closet now looks like this :(

But an empty closet means that I can finally go back to the country I love. CANADA!! Where all the people I love live, I can't wait to see all my family, and expecially the little kids who I havn't seen for four months!

American Thanksgiving

After a week of homework homework homework none stop, finally a ten day break!! All last week I have done at least 4-5 hours of ho
mework a day. It has been insane, but I got everything done so that I could have my ten days to myself and with no worrys of school.

I started the weekend out with a Utah
Jazz basketball
game. This was my first live NBA basketball game, it was filled with lots of cheering, an entertaining drunk girl, a funny hard core jazz fan, and a double date with Taylor.

Then off to Idaho!! During
the week we had a movie night, went on alot of walks in the snow, went on a double date, went to a pie function, went to New moon, went out to dinner, and alot of other fun little things.

It was fun playing house for the week. I stayed in Esther&Russells apartment by myself which was kinda lonely without them. But since I couldn't mouch off them th
e food was left up to me! Which turned out to be really fun. Me and Taylor cooked dinner together at his place almost every night. All the meals turned out to be pretty good :)

Then came thanksgiving. We all went out grocery shopping and picked out our turkey and all the extra stuff we wanted with it. Then our friend Krista took on the huge responsablitity of cooking the turkey. Boy was it good!! It was strange having no family, and it wasn't october but none the less my first american thanksgiving was great.

A lazy week off school was a complete success. Now I am back to reality!! Seven days untill school is over. I have a major prodject and test due in ever single one of my classes. So I am back to crazy insane amounts of homework and studying to do.

But in seven days I will be packing up my
life and heading out of Utah!
